Love has Good Manners

Nice people are nice to work with, nice to talk to, nice to run into. It's the rude people that are to be avoided like the plague. For example, there is a girl in one of my classes who is rude, cut throat and to the point. Now, I can appreciate people who get to the point and consider myself to be very much that kind of person. However, I do not in any way, shape or form appreciate or respect someone who is mean. When I passed her on the sidewalk I made sure I didn't have to acknowledge her because she is just that rude. A smile and thoughtful word have a great effect and are such great tools for witnessing. I am not a person who is outwardly or extremely verbal in my faith because I have seen people who have thought they were being authentic when really they were coming across as cheesy. People, I am convinced, who are nice and smart go a lot further in life than people who make time for no one. That in and of itself is being the most selfish kind of human. The world is searching for someone who will be a servant to them (even if they don't realize it); someone who puts themself last in order to fulfill their needs. What a challenge for us but what pleasure God will receive.
